Name: Navajo – Magnificent Darling Darlene Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace with Matching Earrings by Garrison Boyd

This magnificent high grade Darling Darlene Turquoise Squash Blossom necklace is designed and handmade by Garrison Boyd, Navajo. There are a total of 9 blossoms on each side that measure 1 7/8” L x 1 5/8” W. The Naja has 10 Darling Darlene Turquoise stones that measure 5/8” L x ½” W. The matching earrings are 1 1/4” L x ½” W and are convertible to clip-on. The total length of this squash is 26 3/8” long. Signed by the artist. The Darling Darlene was a small mine in Northern Nevada which produced a beautiful turquoise. Colors from the mine ranged from green to blue green and from a light blue to a deep blue. Discovered by Joe Barredo in 1972 and named for a daughter, the mine was never more than a few man operation and production was low. In the early 1980’s the Darling Darlene was leased by Erman Blossom and a partner. Today the area is involved in gold production. Signed by the artist. Quantity Available: 1
