This incredible piece is designed and created by master artist Dale Duby. Dale uses the techniques of grinding, abrading, percussion and pressure flaking to produce the obsidian blades. The blades are attached with sinew. This wonderful piece has a 3D Elk scene hand carved into the elk handle. The hand carving and painting is done by Michelle Severe who works with Dale. The knife is 14” long and 2-1/2” wide. The blade is 7 inches long is flint knapped out of Midnight Lace Obsidian. The stand is made of Oregon Juniper and has two pieces of antler that the knife rests on. The stand measures 9” wide and 15-1/2” long. The height with the knife is 8-1/2” tall. Each knife that Dale creates is one-of-a-kind and individually handcrafted from stone, antler, or bone. This will make a great addition to any collection. It is signed by the artist.
